They are marked 6 on the soles (US?), and Charles Jourdan Paris in gold on the inside.

hmm I've just been looking at some vintage shoe adverts and the red cross were making these sort of style brogues in the 1930's only the heel seemed slightly thicker - do you think they could be this early? or is it a throwback in design from much later?

Pinkcoke, for future reference can you please post images here, rather than linking to another site. Thank you.

I really like your shoes but I don't think they're very old. Whilst the style is reminiscent of the '30s in some regards, the heel is too thin. I can't see the logo very well on the pic of the interior but you might like to compare it to the ones in the label resource.

I can't see the toe very well - a pic straight on would help - but it looks like a long, almond shaped toe so I shall date them as about late '70s to early '80s but if we're lucky Jonathan will come along and know for sure.

Nicole, I've changed the first post to include the actual images now.
Sorry the label isn't clear - this was the best from the two of them, it's a shame as it's not one you have on the resource I did look on there before posting - It's the same as the 1960's gold label but without the frame.
I've also added a picture straight on so you can see the toes better.

How can you tell they are late 70's Jonathon? what makes the difference between early and late?

Thanks Joules, unfortunately the indicative photos from that thread are no longer active, so there's not too much to go on with just the posts.

Thanks Joules for stepping in - I was out all day! You are right about that navy suede, almond toe, leather trim, type of high heel - those are all typical late 70s.
