Looking to date this dress, cotton canvas type material. Non metal zipper up the back. I have read about Magnin Department store but it spanned for many years. Has anyone seen a dress like this or any idea on the dates?
Thanks!

I have been trying to figure this out. I think it may be later than '60's - possibly '70's or early '80's but I really don't know. My first thought was the musical "Annie" (1977-1983) or "Little Orphan Annie" the comic strip character which the musical is based on. And, edited to add Raggedy Ann which it certainly resembles. The apron style dress matches this. Joseph Magnin closed in 1984.

Is there a care label or the remnants of one?

The pinafore style looks more 70s to me. The print looks like a take on Raggedy Ann (note the triangle nose).

Thank you all for your reply. I was thinking Raggedy Ann too, my favorite doll! I'll definitely do more research on the pinafore style, I appreciate your help!

Hello,

That is a darling dress. I think also that it is 1970s, on the earlier side of the decade. It reminds me a great deal of Vested Gentress prints. But I do not know if they produced a line of children's clothing. You might want to look into that.
