Dating coats...help needed!

While most folks sat poolside with a cool glass of tea, I was still saddened over my father's passing so I put on sunglasses, shorts, t-shirt, and sandles and hit the highways and slammed head-on into winter coats. Lots of winter coats...dating from I believe the 50's - 80's, from cashmere to vinyle. Yes, I got the looks as though I were a nut case in the over 100 degree weather, but I'm a person who looks ahead!

Ahead finally arrived, and I've been putting them in my ebay store with such trepidation, due to my serious innabilities to date, price, and know fabrics. Nonetheless, I go forward.

I'm at a loss on these three.

There are alot of faux furs out there but this one has me stumped, as it came from the same lot, and they were dated in the 50's. Faux what?

How would you describe that color of green?

The reversible gray and fuscia? Fabric is very loosely knit??

Any help is appreciated,

Nadine

btw: I do so love them all!!! All are mint with no issues.

That green is maybe pale chartreuse? It looks almost gold on my monitor. The faux fur looks like early 70s to me, and I think it looks like faux mink.

I can't really see the fabric of the reversible coat, but I love reversible items! I'd say 50s to early 60s on the two non-furry coats.

Maggie!

Thank you. Yes, I believe the pale chartreuse fits. I feel like the faux fur queen these days. ha ha!

The Union label on the faux fur was in use 1974 - 1995, so mid 70s on that one.

The Union label on the Green coat - if it has both A.F. of L. and CIO on it , it's after 1955. If only AFL, before 1955.

Hatfeathers...thanks for the "heads up" on the union tag.

Nicolejenkins...thank you...dating some of these coats creates heart palpatations for me. LOL

cmpollack...yes, the chartreuse one is a lovely shantung. And yes, the reversible one has the same fabric. I think it is lovely.

Holis...half of that label is sewn into the seam on the Chartreus coat, so I can only see the AFL. Never seen a tag like this one.

Thank you all for responding. I haven't put the last 2 coats up yet, so I appreciate the input.
