Dating, description and fabric help Mexican Aztec !?!.

Once again I am in need of some help not just with dating but a description and its fabric of a dress I found at the thrift shop. There are of course no tags on this dress or zippers buttons etc. The fabric is lighter weight and is stretchy and darts at the bust and has serged seams. I realize it is a tank dress but would you describe the pattern as aztec or mexican or just some zig zags?

ethnic hippie knit....not particularly one ethnicity over another in my opinion

It looks like a cover-up that you wear on the beach. Likely 70's, and neither Aztec nor Mexican.
