Dating fox(?) fur collar(?).. No labels

This little collar is lovely, hoping someone can confirm that it is fox. What would you call this color? Also, any help with dating would be lovely. Thanks!

Hi Robin. Your collar is Mink fur. My best guess on date would be 60s based on the shape of the collar however to be conclusive I really would have needed to see the garment it was originally attached to.

I would call that colour blonde mink. Caryn may know a more precise colour.

You are welcome. I missed your portion about the color. Sorry about that. You can and should describe the color as it appears to you in person. If it looks blonde then you should describe it that way to give the most accurate description of what you see visually. Technically light shades like this fall in the pearl shade category. From the photos this appears to have gold or yellow in it so it would technically be called Golden Pearl Mink.
