Dating help on this Jana purse, please?

I have this cute Jana wood-bead purse, Japan, and am trying to accurately date it. Other similar Jana bags I've seen are dated as 60s, but they have short handles & no chain, rather than the shoulder strap, which is a combination of beads and chain sections. I'm wondering if this is 60s or might be into the early 70s. Sort of has that hippie look going, so could be very late 60s/very early 70s? The bag's lining, though, seems older than that--a heavy canvas or buckram material.

Hate to part with it! I've got so many cute summer bags I'm listing and I want to keep them--ALL of them!

heh heh

reminds me of the beaded car seat covers they use in Indonesia to circulate air; almost every taxi driver used one

i digress

i would agree w 70s on this cute little bag, Anne. :hiya:

Sandra, I'm not sure if they made all the Pucci bags, but I believe they made at least some of them.

I have one other Jana--it is a most unusual bag, but I need to clean it up and try to retouch an area where the leather is discolored. Were it not for that, I think that one would be worth big $$$....

They are scarcer than hen's teeth around here!
