Dating help on this Shannon Rodgers dress; and what to do with this other?

This first dress is "Jack Horwitz by Shannon Rodgers." Thought was mid 60's 'cuz it's very much like the first dress I ever made (in 1966)! Can't find anything on Shannon Rodgers post 1959, except in reference to Silverman. I've previously heard of Jack Horwitz, but only in passing... Only thing I can find on him is an article mentioning his work in the 50's. But I don't think it's that old. Linen fabric, metal back zipper, and large mother-of-pearl buttons on that faux placket. Nicely made, good facings, clipped & finished-off darts, much hand stitching. May have been shortened, though it's still pretty long, as far as 60's sundresses go....

And what, please, is this dress? A short wedding dress, cocktail dress, party dress? Early 70's? Going to be listing it quite inexpensively, but would like to come up with something to catch somebody's attention! Thanks!

I would agree the sun dress is mid-1960s. The second garment looks like late 1960s to early 1970s and I would guess it to be a short wedding dress. It could be a party dress but the color is more wedding, don't you think? Good luck-the sun dress is lovely.

Lizzie, i was going to post on the resource, but hadn't gotten around to it yet, so, yes, please, feel free to post it or I can upload directly--just let me know! And any help on the dating of this dress is greatly appreciated! Based on the very little bit of info I could find on pre-Silverman Rodgers and on Jack Horwitz, I think you're right that it might be late 50s, but if so, it looks to be very "with it" for that time period, maybe a bit ahead of its time? Thanks!
