Dating items

Got an item from an antique shop and one on Etsy that I'm curious to date. The first item is a Stetson hat, any ideas on when this is from based on the logo (one of them is pretty faded though so hard to tell). Second item is a dress, based on the research I've done I think it might be 80's? The only thing is that the sizing seems pretty modern to me. I normally wear a size 10-12 (in pants) and the label says the dress is a size 14, and it's a little big on me around the waist (waist is elastic). I read the made in the USA trend is usually 80's, but I also read that an RN number of 5 digits usually indicates 60's or 70's (since this has washing instructions I'd assume it's 70's at the earliest).

Hi,

We would really need to see the entire hat to get a better idea of dating it. However, from the photos which you do show the hat appears to be a 1950s 1960s man's straw porkpie or small brim fedora style.

I cannot really say on the dress, looks vaguely 1970s to me with those cap sleeves and collar style. . Can you flip the photo so we can see the natural shape of the dress, please?

I'm actually not sure how to flip the photo -- it's normal on my computer but every time I upload on here it's sideways. Here's a picture of the full hat.

That hat is such a classic, it could be 1950s or it could be early 1960s. My guess is mid 1950s. But I cannot be sure. It is a good average head size too, which helps as many of these that survive seem to be small head sizes. If I am reading the tag correctly, it looks like 7 1/4. That adds to the desirability and value.

I can see Candy's dress right side up. Depending on your browser you may need to press shift and refresh, control and shift, or control and f5 once or twice to see the images rotated.
