Dating jacket

Hi,

I was hoping to get some help with this jacket. I think it is from the 70s but I am not sure. It feels like some sort of velvet like fabric but with a print that resembles feathers. That's probably not the best description but I am not sure how else to describe it. It has a rusty orange colored lining and a Professionally Dry Clean label in script but the other label seems to have been cut off. Can someone recommend a good way to describe it and is it really 70s?

looks like a 1970s velveteen blazer, with an acetate lining.

Agree with Mary and I love 70's patterned velvet
Feather print seems accurate to me, anything else would be quite roundabout and more obscure - say what you see!
That would also be called a blazer here.

Gorgeous! Agree with feather print. And the short pile I believe makes it velveteen rather than velvet, as Mary says.

Just to add, it's been reminding me of some particular bird, but I couldn't work out which. But now I've got it. It reminds me pheasant feathers - here's an image see if you agree:

Thank you, Ruth! I think you are absolutely right. It looks just like that. Someone had suggested turkey to me but I knew that wasn't quite right.

Plus "pheasant feather print" makes for a much better description/KW!

The clue to the 70s date, other than the printed velveteen, is the colorway--browns/rusts/earth tones were big then!
