Dating Lee riding breeches/jodhpurs

My father-in-law just gave me these breeches (or are these jodhpurs?) that belonged to his father. They appear to be a heavy cotton twill, and fasten with buttons at the fly and the bottoms of the legs. The Lee label inside does not appear in the label resource, but may date to the 30's from what I've seen online? This would fit with the timing (my father-in-law is in his 70's), but I am way out of my depth here, as I know nothing about menswear or sportswear. Any help would be fabulous, thanks!

The style of these don't really change except for the details. The 20s/30's pair I have, have thick mother of pearl four hole buttons and a lot more detail to the construction inside.
Isn't there a Lee jeans company? it kind of reminds me of that logo. Maybe they started out in sportswear?

Thanks, Melanie! I believe the Lee label in these is from the same company as Lee jeans, but I would love to know for sure.
Edited because I'm a ditz!

Thank you, Nicole! From what I've found, the label is called the "housemark" label because of the triangle that resembles the roof of a house? It's apparently a Lee work wear label from the 30's. Thanks again!

Here's a 1938 ad for Lee breeches (don't know if the ones pictured are theirs or one of the other brands):

And an ad from 1939 which shows a range of their products (including whipcord breeches), and emphasizes "union made":

(The breeches in these appear to be laced, vs buttoned like yours).

I also found a 1941 ad for "Lee Cowboy Breeches" (with Stetson hats also in the ad, but no illustration of the products), and the following 1928 ad, which includes a few Lee Union Made products, including khaki breeches w/zip or lace bottoms:

The buttons on yours make t hem seem more suited to riding or stylish sports than workwear?

Thanks so much, Carrie! Those ads are great, I'm super impressed by your sleuthing! I agree they don't seem like actual workwear, more for riding. They do have the "double seats and knees" described in the 1939 ad. They fit my husband perfectly, so if anyone has any more thoughts or info we would both be thrilled to know more. Thanks again!
