Dating Loungewear

I read somewhere that around 1940s and 1950s, some items were made in Mexico.
Is this loungewear? Or people will seriously wear it outside?

I'm getting more of a '70s feel from this one, from the style and labels but I'm not familiar with Mexican fashion. The toggle buttons look plastic, which suggests against a '40s-'50s date as I'd expect them to be wooden if it was that old.

Certainly in the 70's I could see this being worn as daywear outside or loungewear (it's not dressy enough for evening wear).

Mexican made garments seem to carry some characteristics throughout the decades; they tend to be made from cotton, and have hand embroidery, but the shapes vary with fashions from each era and if anything I would err on a later dating because it is the nature of traditionally made garments to be more old fashioned.
