Hi! I was hoping to get some help dating this robe. I'm not familiar with men's wear so I'm having some trouble with it. It has a silk lining, and the exterior is a cashmere blend. Label reads Neiman-Marcus, Made in Italy. Thanks for any help!

I would have thought the multi-lingual fabric content label puts it much later - that looks quite modern for 60's - I can't think of seeing that sort before the late 70's at least.

I was able to find the exact label on US Patent and Trademark website, searching TESS on line 17, serial number 73196302 and under documents, specimens will display this label and others that were registered as a trademark in 1978. The company renewed these trademarks again in 2011. I searched each of the documents that were available with specimens and it was not until I reached the one in 1978 that displayed your label.

The fabric content label looks more modern to me as well. Is there anything on the back of this label?

The robe has two fabric care tags, one for the lining and one for the outer part. Here's a photo of the back of the first and the second tag.

I think I read in a thread somewhere here that the dash between Neiman and Marcus was discarded in the late 80's? So would that place my robe somewhere in the early-mid 1980's? Possibly very late 70's. Was there a particular date that the care symbols started being used?
