Dating my Aquascutum coat

I recently found this gem in a vintage shop and I am wondering how old it is. I have uploaded a picture of the coat, the washing label, the size label, the Aquascutum label and a close up - for the colour. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it!

Hi Holly and welcome to the forums. I looked up the CA00229 number and it was registered by Aquascutum Canada in 1997 so that's the earliest date, but it could be any time after that. Details here.

The size label suggests it could be custom-made although the lack of a name etc suggests that might not be the case.
 
Unfortunately, all CA #s will show a date of 1997 unless the CA number was created post 1997. 1997 is the year the system was revamped.

I think the coat is earlier than 90s, but it's hard to tell from the full shot to see the silhouette clearly. Clear front and back shot would be helpful.

Aha! Thanks Deborah, I did not know that. I've used the CA number thing before and returned later dates but I'll watch out for 1997s then.

If we disregard the CA date, I'd put your coat as 1970s but yes, clear silhouette and photos would be helpful.
