Dating my Fur Coat

Hi Vintage Friends,

I recently found this fabulous fur coat at an estate sale. I am so obsessed with it! The coat is labeled "Harry Barron Furs". I'll attach some pictures. If you have any ideas of the era, fur, history, etc. of it, I would love to hear it!!! I have some ideas of the era but I want to see what you all think.

It looks 1940s to me. I believe it is squirrel. It used to be referred to as Chinese Mink.

Definetly a 40s vibe for me, particularly because of the oriental style font used on the label, and the very square shoulders.

Really beautiful coat! As for pricing, I would compare it to similar vintage fur coats and go from there. It also depends on how quickly you want to sell it ';)
