Dating Nana's Judith Leiber evening bag

I've treasured this beautiful bag since my Nana (grandmother) passed it down to me. I'd love to know how old it is. Also, I've been assuming it is snakeskin, but wondering if it isn't lizard. I'd be happy to provide more photos as well. Thanks!

Lovely bag Robin. Looks like snakeskin to me - and I'll date as '80s.

I found a few similar ones on ebay which seem to come from the same collection or thereabouts, including a red one which has an engraved date of 1986.
