Dating of Swimsuit

I need help on dating this Swimsuit, back has 3 white round buttons, very thin fabric like Tricot and does not have a built-in bra, Tag has been cut out, appears to have been red, white and blue. Thanks Click on photos to enlarge

I Would date it as 1960's. From the photos it appears to originally have had some kind of straps in the back.

Are the straps adjustable? There's some excess of the shoulder straps showing below the bra band at back - perhaps that is what makes it look as if there may be additional straps.

I bet they are adjustable button shoulder straps. I would say late 1960s to early 1970s.
