Dating plastic "daisy chain" necklace, 60's?

I just found this darling necklace! I'm guessing it's 60's from the floral motif and the length, but I have a lot to learn about jewelry, and I would love to hear from you experts. It measures approximately 35" long. Thanks!

Lovely necklace Robin: does it have any openings or is just one length? Can you tell us what it's strung with eg, cotton, nylon?

It does look '60s but this is a fun, cute style and has been revived several times so it might be more modern.

I agree with Nicole, 80s is another option - I have an 80s set made of plastic to imitate real coral strands, very similar to the pieces in yours, and there was a 60s revival in the 80s.

Thanks, all! There is no catch/clasp/opening, it's all one long strand. The thread/string is doubled and it's strung very tight with no stretch or give, I've tried to get a good look at it - it looks like cotton but could easily be nylon. Good to know that the presence or lack of a clasp is an indicator of age. I'm leaning towards 80's now from what you all have told me, thanks again!
