Dating Purse

I would love any info on this cute purse I thrifted yesterday! It's lined in red corduroy and has an interior pocket with a metal zipper. No tags or labels. Please let me know if you need more photos. Thanks!

I love it and I've come across this purse before... I recall - and someone can correct me - there being a kit for this kind of thing in the early 1970s.
