Dating quandary...

I've had this stunner for a while now, and I think it's about time I let it go. I can't quite decide on Forties or Fifties though, the shoulders seem quite Forties, and the contrast treatment. But then it's often hard to tell with British couture of the time. Any ideas? Perhaps I'm spending too much time with my 60s/70s stock at the moment ;)

I am erring on the newer style by a smidge. It could be 1948ish at the earliest but these styles were being made up to 1952ish, so somewhere in there.

l would agree with Jonathan ont his one too...late 40's early 50's...

Thank you!! You may well be right about early 50s - I'm going to put 40s/50s in the title but put it in the 50s category, hopefully it will find its audience there!
