Dating Shoe help-- 1930\'s?

hello, was wondering if anyone can help me date these shoes, i was thinking 1930's? but I’m not sure if the toe is the right shape. They're brown fine suede, with leather detailing and tasselled laces. The label is on the inner left hand side of the left shoe and says "made in England. Cantllever", after googling the label I’m more convinced this must mean cantilever? Any help appreciated!

l am inclined to say early 40's, but jonathan is the key here..

Can't help on the date but I think you're right in Cantilever

The bottom of the L is so close to the seam that it appears the same as the I before it

My guess is the name is Cantilever but I have never heard of that company. I suspect they are pre WW2 but they may be early WW2. I don't believe they are before 1936 as a cuban heel that sturdy and thick is not really around plus the tassled ties or aglets are not as popular then. Both are more common by the end of the 1930s and just into the early 1940s, so my guess would be c. 1937-1941

Thanks everyone! They're about a Uk 5, although I still need to measure them. I found an old advert for cantilever through google, but it doesn’t look like the company was particularity well known. Thanks for all the help :)
