Yesterday's shopping program - one flea market, one thrift shop and two secondhand shops - netted two pretty handbags and a 50s or 60s Kayser nylon tricot slip. Not a huge haul, but then I didn't spend a lot of money on these things either...
.
On the bags I'd like to know what you think date-wise. On one I'm not 100% sure, the other one leaves me confused.
First off is a beautiful small black evening clutch bag, complete with a mirror in an extra pocket.

The metal frame is decorated with marcasites, but quite a few are missing. I am planning to replace them - my mom knows where to get them.

I guess that thing would have been there for things like dancing? As the strap is small and is attached downwards, I guess normally one wouldn't use it when just carrying the bag?

My initial thoughts on this bag were 30s - or am I wrong?
My other find is a lovely woven Rodo bag with a gold chain.

My best friend has a Rodo bag made the same way, but bigger, and with two shorter handles.

The bag is lined in leather, and stamped in gold "Rodo" and "Italy" on the other side. I have another, all-leather Rodo bag, where the additional inner pocket made in exactly the same way, with golden leather inside it.
I have no idea how old or not old this bag could be... Would be interested to know what you think.
All I know is that they're always well-made and of good quality - I always look out for them.
