Dating vintage Catalina swim trunks

Hi~

I initially thought these swim trunks were from the 50s because of the print. After looking at the Catalina labels on VFG, the label looks more like one from the 30s or 40s. The fabric feels like a cotton/rayon blend, if that helps. Label: Styled For The Stars Of Hollywood Catalina, California Hand Block Prints Catalina. I would appreciate any help from the experts

These swim trunks are just super and I'm with the others.....seeing late 1940s or very possibly the early 1950s! Love 'em!
