Dating vintage dress (1930s-1950s)

I think this dress is from the 30s, but the other possibility is late 40s/early 50s. She's hard to represent accurately because she's too big for my dress form (the dress has been pinned in the first photo). Here are the measurements. They're one of the main reason I'm thinking earlier--I usually find wider hip measurements in later dresses. Thoughts?

Bust: 45"
Waist: 34"
Hip: 44"
Length: 44 1/2"
Bodice length: 16 1/2"

I see '40s - lovely print. Do you think it might have had sleeves originally? Nice, pointed collar too.

Thanks, Nicole! I don't think it had sleeves. The stitching around the armholes looks the same as the stitching elsewhere on the dress (same color thread and same type of stitching as elsewhere.
