I previously posted just the Bloomingdale’s tag but wanted to repost with the tag of the clothing item itself because I’m still not sure when this is from. The Bloomingdale’s tag looks very early, but the dry clean tag makes me think 70s. I know some 1960s items had dry clean tags before care tags were required, but I’m just not sure on this. Any ideas? Much appreciated!

This particular YSL tag is dated at the late 1960s. The way the 'Made In France' is placed would correspond with what we have in the Library.

If you wanted to be conservative, the latest I would say is early 1970s.

I wish we had a way to decipher department store tags because I'm sure the exact date would somehow be encoded ... If there is a source for that info, I am not aware of it.
