Dating Yves Saint Laurent Mens Wool Coat...1970s?

Hello there,
Coat and label suggest 1970s to me....does this strike a reasonable chord? Also, how would you term the 'fancy' venting in the back?

Very nice coat. I would agree with 1970s. Technicaly I think you have two box pleats at the back with a vent between them. There is probably a more eloquent way to describe this however!

Fabulous coat! Too bad the costumers for American Hustle did not have your coat for the film. It is really a super one. I agree with 1970s.

VERY nice!! The back makes this coat much more desirable. I would use the terms double breasted, turnback cuffs, belted back, vented back, and fancy back. These are terms that vintage menswear buyers use. I agree with 1970s. Make sure you show a nice full shot of the back as it is the selling point for the coat.

Nice find. I would expect it to sell well.

Thanks for all the excellent advice. I haven't seen American Hustle yet, i'll put it on my list. I keep imagining Pierre Elliot Trudeau in this one....
