Deadstock sweater...please help date!!

Hello all!
I found this deadstock sweater and I thought it may be 70s but I'm kind of stumped since it doesn't have a brand label...any thoughts??

That WPL belongs/belonged to a company named Adorance. In a super-fast look I found THIS 1976 newspaper ad that mentions Adorance sweaters.

HERE is a 1987 ad for Adorance sweaters.

...and from a 1986 article: "New York-based Adorance imports women's knit tops under labels such as Bay Trading Co., Andriano and Adorance."

The lack of international care symbols, the BIG turtleneck in beige, and because its made in Hong Kong all suggest early 70s to me - very Mary Tyler Moore...
