Hi, I am struggling to find out information re a designer Deborah Newall. The dress I have is late 70s, pure silk, full length evening gown - hand stitched bead work across the bust. The label just says Deborah Newall of London. I cannot seem to come up with any info on the internet and wondered if anyone had any knowledge to share

These are not definitive dates for the designer's works but I found the following entries in British phone books from 1959 through 1971:

Deborah Newall Ltd
Model Gowns
17 Gosfield St W1
London

I also found the following 1974 notice, which seems to be the end of her company: "DEBORAH NEWALL LTD--Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 290 of the Companies Act, 1948, that a General Meeting of the above-named Company will be held at 14 St. Patrick's Court, Bathwick Hill, Bath, on Saturday, 4th January 1975 T 12 noon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the Members showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the Company disposed of...Dated 10th December 1974"
