Deciphering Labels

Hi All,
This label is attached to a 70s dress I have (a beautiful one shoulder maxi dress). I am curious about the history of this style of label, and I'd like to know for future reference. I thought I'd read somewhere that order numbers on the tag means the dress is custom-made or couture. Is this true? Thank you!

Often it can indicate the store's order, the store where the dress would be eventually sold. If it was custom made, the size would not be on the tag, I might suppose as it would have been made to the client's own measurements. It has nothing to do with couture.

Thanks. I'm wondering if they just put the size on the wrong line. ("14" is on the remarks line.) This helps. Thank you!
