Hi. I don't *think* this penant is Delizza Juliana but have sent pics to them for verification (though I hear Mr. Delizza isn't doing this currently?)

"Stone" is set verso. I've seen this in Whiting and Davis pieces but not Delizza.Oh, it's just the pendant. The chain, while old, is not original to the piece so I didn't photograph it.

What do y'all think? Thanks so much!

Hi! Thanks for even looking at it! The Delizza pieces I've had before had a similar back and prongs. That's about all I bring to the table. If Linn's around maybe... Linn, are you around? She knows that era's jewelry, yeah?

You are giving me way too much credit! I do know that D&E made pendants but the bale doesn't look right to me. I also know that D&E made jewelry for over 800 companies over many years and that a lot of the pieces look "nothing" like what we think of as "Juliana." I don't know if Mr. DeLizza is still verifying pieces - I don't think so.

Here's a link to Cheryl Kilmer's Juliana Collection. There's a wealth of information about the findings, and designs. Cheryl is the one who "discovered" the relationship between the jewelry she had been collecting and D&E -back in 2003!

Cyn, I don't think your piece is D&E but it's definitely a pretty 1950's piece!

Thanks, Linn! I checked out at linked you provided. Funny, she has a maltese cross that I had last year. Beautiful, HUGE piece. Mr. Delizza may not be validating, you're right. I hear volunteers do currently. He validated my cross and some other things and it was very cool. Their Delizza Juliana site is quite a wealth.

I don't think this is DJ beause of that verso setting. THAT doesn't ring true to me. Could it be a Judy Lee or Beau Jewels?

Cyn -

What do you mean by "verso" setting? Do you mean that the prongs are on the back? I've never seen that before. I don't see any obvious connection to Judy Lee or Beaujewels either. Sometimes you just have to describe it as an "unsigned beauty."

By "verso" I meant that the cut crystal part is in the back and the smooth part is the front.
