Description help on this 50s dress

Hello all!

this is custom seamstress made, the original owner never bought anything from the store she had everything made lol,,, wish I had that luxury.

Any way it feels like a very heavy stiff cotton? has metallic paint? on it.

So far all I can think of is ethnic print. Any help describing this making it more glamorous would be appreciated! Also any ideas what to call the fabric and style?

Suggests Persian design motifs to me, tiles or carpets. Just beautiful. I love those 50s cotton prints that use gold metallic pigment.
