Designer: Florence Eiseman??

Someone has e-mailed me asking about the designer Florence Eiseman. She has about a dozen sewing patterns from the late 1960s or 1970s that are by "Prominent Designer Florence Eiseman." All are little girl dresses.

I've never heard of this designer. Can anyone shed light on her?

Thanks,
Laura

I found <a href="http://www.florenceeiseman.com/default2.asp" target=blank>this.</A>

<I>"Turning a hobby into a business, Mrs. Florence Eiseman and her husband, Laurence, presented the first Florence Eiseman children's collection in 1945. In 1955 Florence Eiseman was the first children's designer to receive the Neiman-Marcus Award for "Outstanding Contribution to Fashion." The Denver Art Museum did a retrospective of her work in 1984, another first for a children's designer."</I>

The company is still in business.

Does anyone have more information about the company?

I know that they make boutique children's clothes. My SIL recently ran across a sample Florence Eisman dress. She contacted the company directly for more information about it and found them to be very responsive. Perhaps if you have specific questions you could contact them directly via their website.

she has a web site that you can go to. www.florenceeiseman.com

I have an adult outfit that has her name on it.
I have many questions on why her name is on an adult outfit if she made only childrens wear. I emailed thier contact email, but have not got a response.
