i was wondering if anyone might be able to pinpoint the date or the label Godel. I know it's around the turn of 1950 but maybe someone could be more accurate. Also, I first of all assumed the ruffles were the front of the skirt but it could be the back. There are rounded splits up the hem at the front and back, the fastenings are down one side.

The double 11 label in your dress means it was produced from 1945-1949 as this label meant a luxury garment (produced with nicer fabric, extra details) from CC41. So your skirt is likely from England. This might help you find more info on Godel. It's a beautiful skirt!

The 1945 - 1949 time frame was the time frame I thought it was, when I published my book Joji. The June 1946 start date has only recently been confirmed, and as 1946 looks pretty much the same as 1945 - its hard to tell the difference. Same with 1949 and 1952 with English clothing as the English New Look was not as flamboyant as France or the U.S.
