Dior Brooch-vintage or not? Help with description.

Hi.
I bought this brooch but have no idea if it is vintage. It has great vintage appeal, but I don't want to misrepresent. I haven't been able to find one like it on the web. Also, how would you describe it?

Is that C Dior in the initials? And, is the back stamped/marked Dior?

I can see where it spell Dior and i agree to check the back for markings.

I would call it a "monogram" type.

oh I forgot to mention that. it is indeed a Christian Dior brooch. It is marked C. Dior on the back. If you look carefully you can see that the C, D, and I are all overlapping in the center and the O and R are on the ends. I thought it might be modern, since name brand mongrams were dp popular in the 80s.

I was initially thinking too 80s just because the crests/mongrams/huge brassy/gold brooches were "in" at that time. I can picture it on a "power suit". But maybe also on something with a scarf if not. But maybe one of our Dior experts who is "in the know" would have other thoughts.

I am not an expert, but those little round monogram pins were popular in the 60s too.
