i think one of his famous quotes (the guy, not the tie maker/stores) was "a gleaming white and impeccably starched cravat is a triumph". One of his biggest concerns in life was making sure it was stiffly starched and bright white as possible. Sounds like an obsessive disorder to me or he had not much to worry about in life.. And he polished his boots with champagne. That would attract flies wouldn't it, from the alchohol sugar?
