Does anyone recognize this 70ish logo? thanks!

I picked up a sweater vest last night because I was curious of this logo. Unfortunately, the main tag was taken out. All it has are these buttons and the care/content tag inside.

I picked up a couple of other 70's items, so I am going to guess this would be a late 70's item as well. sorry, I havent taken photos of the entire thing yet, just threw it on my desk to snap the photos of this.

the tag has some type of number on it. It appears to saw 13W 6?M501

I can not make out what is where I put the ? mark here.

Probably wrong but I am wondering if this could be from a Commes des Garcons item? The letters aren't necessarily in the correct order on the button but with D being smaller I thought it might be worth a shot. I am seeing a C around the G.

Company started in 1969 so it could be possible. I also think I am seeing some oriental writing on the fabric label.

Just an idea but don't want to lead you down the wrong path with research. Sure somebody will have good info.
 
I am in Denver. I really think this is a vintage piece. Let me put it on a hanger and get another photo for you to see.

Ms: Thanks. I will look into that. I wondered about the C in there, that would make sense.

Well..that would make some sense...as the care label looks like it has Japanese characters on it ...
 
Ok, now that Ihave photos of it, I am thinking it might ben a mens vest. It has a small size tag that says XL. I will need to get measurements of it.

I tried to see the RN number under the wool mark, but I may not be reading it correctly. Looks to me like it says 7706057

Nothing came up on the RN search.

Are you not able to read the RN# because it is blurry? If you can make out any of the #'s try the RN database again...just put a % character in for the numbers you can't read. It reads the % as a wild card. Perhaps you can narrow it down from the results returned.

AGain - sorry if giving you info you already know or have tried.
 
I asked on the modern board on ebay and they agree it is not Comme Des Garcon. the writingon the label is Korean, not japanese.

this is going back to the store this weekend so I can find something else to pick up.

It was a great learning experience and I thank everyone for the help!
