Does the name Jack Feit ring a bell?

I found a neat Jacke Feit coat. I know nothing about this label.

Is this one someone has heard of? any info?

From a 1969 legal document found through Google:

"Respondent Jack Feit, Inc. , is a corporation
organized, existing and doing business under and by virtue of the laws of the State of New York.


Respondents Jack Feit and Elaine Feit are offcers of the corporate respondent. They formulate, direct and control the acts, practices and policies of the said corporate respondent including those hereinafter set forth.


Respondents are manufacturers of fur trimmed ladies' garments with their offce and principal place of business located 530 Seventh Avenue, New York, New York.

We had the estate of a Miss Oklahoma once & she had some lovely Feit suits.

Jack & Elaine specialized in coats, suits & dress/coat ensembles. Fancy/striking fabrics & fur trims were their specialities. They apparently were in business through the 60s, that fur thing may have put them under.

I have the same price info as Lynne found, they retailed from about $70-200 & were sold at stores like Bonwit Teller, Marshall Field & Lord & Taylor.
