Does this metallic textured fabric have a name? And if not, can you help me describe it?

Thanks guys, I had thought it might be mattelasse, (a term I learnt here last year) but I wasn't sure. And I now know the term plisse as well!

It doesn't look like matelasse to me, because I can't see that threads are causing the puckering, which is part of the definition of matelasse (which is similar to trapunto, without the stuffing). Also, matelasse has to be double-layered (it's similar to quilting, in that respect).

Looks more like plisse, which means "puckered" and in which the texture is achieved through a chemical reaction with the fibers.

I don't see this as matelasse' either. Puckered or plisse' is closer to it.
