They did make some with cacti with butterfly wings. Cannot tell from photos but possibly foil or if with lines guilloche? A Norway silversmith named Albert Scharning did scenes with guilloche? I cannot tell if from your photos though.

Not sure why you are saying doomed or very inexpensive. Depending on age and construction.

It really does look like butterfly wing, or if not, inspired by it!

The pictures are a little too blurry for me to see detail well, but it looks like the cabs are in sawtooth (or "pie crust" settings)? What kind of clasp does it have? The double chain (or cord?) between the links is unusual. It looks 50s or 60s; more info might help me decide which!

Looks like the metal is textured? I'd say 60s, then...

Very pretty. It looks like a type of silhouette cut out jewelry although your set appears to have some iridescent foil or backing, but don't know if it has a specific name. I agree with Carrie -- looks 60's/70's.
