Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone would know the age of these Don Loper nylon stockings? The box they came in is in the pic as well (i'm new on here so hoping I can download photo succesfully as I didnt hv much luck earlier) Thanyou!

I found a 1962 newspaper ad for "Hosiery by Don Loper" that featured the identical box. It further noted that:

"For the first time Don Loper has created distinctive hosiery colorings as a complete fashion compliment for those women who demand shadings that will best complete their fashion costume. This is superb hosiery with the unquestionably correct Loper color fashion flair. Incomparable in shading, Flawless in fit."

Thankyou so much for the info which is so brilliant! I love looking at old adverts as it brings to life what u have. Is this advert online as I wld love to c it? x

Away,
I found the ad in the Ancestry.com newspaper database (a subscription site). The ad appeared in the October 10, 1962 issue of the Long Beach, California INDEPENDENT newspaper. I would be happy to give you a copy of the ad, but I am sure there are copyright issues involved and I am not comfortable risking losing my subscription privileges. I have, however, attached here the picture of the box that appeared in the ad, as it is only a very small part of the paper and is for research and educational purposes, so I believe this qualifies for fair use. Kindly do not include this bit in any sale description, to preserve the fair use. Thanks.
