In continuing my pursuit of learning more about dating mens clothing...
I have this men's 3 piece suit from Don Robbie - I read somewhere that he designed at YSL and Cardin but not much else found yet. The label looks very 1970s to me but the suit itself is saying maybe 1960s to me. I guess the dry clean only label is probably a clue to a later date and 70s is probably more likely. The pants have a metal zipper - no idea if that means anything for mens clothing. I am not sure about material either - it has a linen feel and am wondering if it could be a silk/linen blend?
This suit reminds of something one would wear in Panama or Cuba - it just has a very heat of the summer look to it if that makes any sense at all...
Would love help with dating, material thoughts, and any other input you may have.
