Don\'t you just hate losing a button?

It wasn't a great button, but it'll be hard to match. So that means I'll have to replace all 8 buttons before I can wear this dress again. Which means it'll sit in my sewing pile for a very very very long time. :teeth:

Oh, I *hate* that!

A while ago I went downtown to replace a button on a gorgeous draped black Lilli Ann jacket from the 40s, in perfect condish except for the missing (and very plain) button. And now for the life of me I cannot put my hands on that danged button! I know I put it somewhere "safe" so I'd be SURE not to lose it, and now I have no idea where I put it.

But at least I don't have to buy eight and sew them all on!

What a nice response to my rant! Now I feel a little silly for making such a fuss.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to take a photo. It has a brushed gold finish, and even a diffuse light causes a terrible glare and my camera refuses to focus on it. I'll keep trying.
