Dorothea\'s Closet Vintage on Page One of the Wall Street Journal!

Yesterday actually, but the article is still online HERE. The interview was actually 20 minutes or so and I had a fair amount to say about the film industry in Iowa and how its beneficial to thousands of people.....but I guess its enough that they mentioned my personal experience and my shop! Certainly never expected to make it into the WSJ by selling vintage clothing....

Interesting.
Hopefully they will work out the kinks and get the program up and running while looking to Minn and La to see how they keep control of the money.
BTW, did anyone do a cost benefit analysis to see how much money came into Iowa vs. how much went out?

I'm sure its been done, there are a lot of groups working to remedy the situation. The most unnerving thing is that Iowa subisidizes farmers, insurance companies, etc etc to get then to stay or come to the state and many times there have been abuses to the program or mistakes.....never before has the government just killed a program before trying to address specific instances. It was a ridiculous, knee-jerk reaction and has adversely affected a lot of people financially.
