Dorothy O\'Hara dress...input needed..!

I posted this on the VCA board, too. I'm clueless and need all the input I can get..!

I've read here where some Dorothy O'Hara dresses are much "better" than others. This one's linen...is it a "good" one and how should I price it? Don't know if I'll auction it or sell elsewhere at a set price, so both opening bid suggestions and fixed price numbers would be appreciated.<p> It's a shapely little dress, but is it too sedate to be VLV-worthy? It's NOS, with a $49.99 price tag attached. There's no store name on the tag. Thanks for any info..! I think it was Daniel who first started enthusing about Dorothy O'Hara, and she was generally seen as being the 'less expensive' version of Ceil Chapman.

Since then, prices on her items have steadily climbed and she is recognised now in her own right for quality styling and design.

I *love* your dress - but I don't know if it might be a later model as it doesn't seem to have the over-emphasis on draping that everyone wants. Even so, the name alone should ensure a good sale on this Patsy!

Oooh I like that!

It is unexpected too. You would expect that top collar to continue to a wrap front, but it doesn't. I think the lines of it are very stylish.

maybe someone else will come along...and give you more info.

I thought Michelle (vintagetrend) has an O'hara in the mall if i am not mistaken...

Patsy for those that collect Dorothy O'Hara I think this is really unique.

#1, it isn't black - 80% of the DH's you see (on Ebay anyway) are black

#2, it isn't draped. Most I have seen have some kind of draping on them.

To me this almost has an oriental influence with the wide midriff/waist
band suggesting an obi sash and also with the side wrap suggestion.

Great dress.
