Is this from the 70's? I'm almost sure it is silk. Back and center metal zipper.

I just read that Giddings merged with Jenny and Co in 62.

Have you checked the ILGWU entry in the Label Resource?

(Your example was in use between 1963 and 1974).

Also, I'd guess there was an overdress of some sort with that!
