I'm not too sure when this dress was made - Can someone help me out? Thank you very much!
The fabric feels smooth but not flimsy. Additionally, the lace collar isn't sewn down to the dress - the collar kind of just hangs there. There aren't any labels or tags either. I know it must be before maybe 1950s? I say that because there are no "serged" seams, the metal zipper, etc. I almost wanted to say earlier than that because there is a snap on top of the zipper. I also looked at the fashion timeline on here, and I want to guess around the 1900s? I looked at the fabric part too, and the fabric looks (to me) like some kind of taffeta especially because of the crinkling/rustle sound. but honestly I am a huge newbie and not very confident in dating :~)
