Dress date is puzzling me??

:help: This dress has me confused. I can't decide if it is vintage, or if it is a modern day dress. There are no tags on the item. The embroidery looks machine done because it is perfect on both sides. And the fabric looks kind of like linen because it has a little texture. I bought it at the thrift store and I didn't have time to try it on and of course it didn't fit, so I wanted to sell it. I don't want to misrepresent the dress though, so I wanted to ask the experts.;)

Thanks in advance for your help. You guys are WONDERFUL and so knowledgeable!!! Connie

A couple of things that will help nail it down are that plastic button and the fusible interfacing. The lack of serging makes me think it's home made. All in all, I would say pretty modern. Also, that's neat woven fabric, rather than embroidered.

Great colour combo! I agree with Hollis that this
would be home made and is fairly modern. Cute!

It's hard to see the inside of the bodice, but what I see looks like a hemmed edge at the neck and armholes. If so, this was not made at home. The topstitching at these edges is very precise, especially if this is a finished hem. If you photo the bodice wrong side out, I might be able to help more.

My guess on the fabric is something like a Guatemalan or Central Am. cotton. If so, it's possible this was a tourist purchase.
