The only tag on either piece does not have a company name/designer. i guess they've been removed. the only one is the one that says its made in mexico. I wouldn't even know the first thing to say about this dress. How would anyone describe the detail? or the style. anyone have any idea when this may have been made? thank you all soooooo much!!

its on the side of the skirt and it is not metal. it is an "ideal" zipper. does this help? The top does not have a zipper. it buttons up the back

So it's two pieces? Top and a skirt to look like a dress?

I was about to say 50s until I saw the labels - they didn't make poly cotton in the 50s, and they also didn't use dry cleaning tags so I'm going to go with an 80s outfit made in a 50s style. Or maybe even more modern - the tags look pretty recent to me.

(and I wouldn't bother with dry cleaning, I'd hand wash that outfit. It is poly cotton, after all).

I would call it a machine lace dress with applique ribbon roses. It looks 1980s to me and I might try selling it as a wedding dress, although it might appeal to 1940s reenactors as well.

great ideas. thank you all so much..i was kinda thinking 80s but i just wasnt sure. and i definitely didn't know how to describe it.

how do you appeal to reenactors? i hadn't even thought about that. please forgive my millions of questions. you are all a really big help!
