Dress or Nightgown?

Okay, thought this was one of those loud, bold 80's dresses.
Then I took a look at Lizzies Swirl info (thanks to Maggies post) and see Oscar de la Renta did nightgowns and robes. Now I see the super casual cut does look more like sleepwear.

I'd welcome additional thoughts:scratchchin:~ thanks

Loungewear.. I had a loungewear robe with same label.... Its from the 80's... I like the bright colors and pattern.... It could be a robe robe or a robe to be worn over a bathing suit.

Thanks Chris,

It doesn't open vertically but slips over the head, and the belt sits above the waist but not quite under the bust - sort of semi-empire I guess. Silky matte polyester feels perfect for a lounging gown~ perhaps I should take up "lounging" and start a new wardrobe collection :drinking2:
