This is very interesting , well I think so , it has not got a huge ammount to do with vintage fashions apart from I think it might make some ladies think more about what they are going to wear before hand, like I expect it was for ladies years ago.

Over View..

A group of ladies on Face Book are going to wear a dress every day in December and document it with photos over on a Face Book Page.

I will add any one can join in if your on F/B

The Details....

Dressember

December 1st marks the beginning of 'Dressember' - the challenge for women (or the adventurous male) everywhere to shake up their wardrobe and try ditching the jeans and t-shirts.

We're aiming to wear dresses as often as possible - don't worry if it's not practical in the day, you can go for a skirt/top combo if needed, or have fun and dress up in the evening in that cocktail dress you never get to wear!

Feel free to share your photos in the group or on your own wall if you're shy, just have fun with it, and try something different for the month - plus it'a party season, so use the wall to ask if you need help deciding! ;-)

There are no rules, it's all about stretching your wardrobe boundaries, trying something different, and having fun, so just jump on in :-)

Sounds like a great idea, but like Froctober, it wouldn't be a stretch for me because I wear a dress every day! The perfect garment, it's always more comfortable and looks better than separates - and as for jeans, they've never worked for me.

There is a get out of jail free card for them to play because some of the ladies are working from home, yesterday 34 ladies took part.
Are you snowed in? it's not too bad here

Hay Angela :clapping: it's not too late for you to join in, and that goes for any one.
Thank you Mary I am sloly getting there.

Good idea. I have added so many (mostly vintage) dresses to my closet that I'm wearing one almost every other day anyway. I swore to myself to wear everything in my closet this winter... :eureka:

It's never easier to look good than when wearing a pretty dress - no question (but I still need more vintage day dresses...). The only problem really is the weather right now. Snow in the city means ice on the sidewalks... which means heavy flat winter boots, which usually don't look good with a dress :bouncy:. So it's jeans or leggings as long as there's snow, and back to going through all my dresses when it's a few degrees warmer, and the rain has washed everything away, and I can wear my high-heeled boots with the dresses (they actually look pretty good even with vintage dresses that nobody at the time would have worn with boots...).

Back "then" there were rubber boot type galoshes that went over your shoes or you wore big rubber boots over your flats and carried your heels with you....

I wear mostly flats with my vintage '50's clothes but fortunately there's no need for boots!:sunshine:
