Dryel

Which unwashables would you chance Dryel on? I know it's not the same as actual dry cleaning, but it does freshen and spot treat stains. Thanks!

Although the spot treatment can be useful, I find that for the items that I can't justify paying for actual dry cleaning do pretty well tossed in the dryer with several dryer sheets sprayed down with an unscented (or scented, if you prefer - but many customers don't) odor remover and air tumble or low heat. Sometimes I just spray the item directly, if it's not something that will water spot.
But this only applies to items sturdy enough for that.
Keep in mind, however, that most "dry cleaning" is simply tossing the clothing item into a giant dryer-like drum with the "cleaning" chemicals - so if it can withstand THAT, it should be fine.
Sometimes you just have to use your best judgement :)
Most dry cleaners stand a good chance of ruining the same garments you will - at least you're not paying extra for it.

I use Dryel on occasion, mostly for my own clothing but it - with fresh air - is pretty great for sweaters and skirts, I've found. : )
